Pantanelli Archaeological Dig
Come and walk the narrow streets of the ancient city of Amelia, Italy, the oldest city in Umbria, where Bronze Age and Iron Age artifacts from the 7th to 4th century BC, are being uncovered. CIML Canada is honored to be the first foreign institute granted a license to take the lead in an excavation project. The Pantanelli archaeological dig, just outside of the city walls of the ancient Umbrian city of Amelia, is set to begin in Spring 2020 on the 62 acre site.
This joint excavation represents a remarkable opportunity for Canadian, Italian and Chinese collaboration on a project of great archaeological, cultural, educational and international significance. Requests from universities around the world as well as applications from archaeological workers and professions are currently being accepted.
Canada/Italy/China Cultural Appreciation & Exchange
Promoting first-class exhibitions, performances and cross-cultural experiences through collaboration between Canada, Italy and China is the reason CIML Canada was incorporated in 2016. Our organization links 100+ museums and universities and have been responsible for over 200 exhibitions annually for the last ten years.
For example, CIML brought the exhibition entitled From the Collections of the Uffizi Gallery: The Gallery of Painting: Landscape, Still Life & Portrait Paintings from the 15th to 20th Century to four museums in China, where around 3 million people visited this 82 painting exhibition from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.
